As a seasoned senior product designer, I have two decades of creating user experiences that don’t just work—they wow! I geek out over intuitive designs and sleek interfaces that make users happy (and businesses thrive). Whether I’m sketching ideas, pixel-perfecting visuals, or brainstorming with cross-functional teams, I bring a mix of creativity, strategy, and good vibes to the table. With a sharp eye for detail and a knack for turning complex problems into simple, elegant solutions, I’ve built a career on making tech feel a little more human. I enjoy leading teams, fostering inclusion, mentoring designers, and turning ideas into beautifully functional designs that truly make a difference. I’m all about streamlining processes, sparking collaboration, and delivering results that everyone can feel proud of!

**HIGHLY RECOMMEND**  I've had the immense pleasure of working with Eric at Fairway, Accenture and Topcoder. He brings an unmatched level of detail and thoughtfulness to everything he designs, ensuring that every element of the user experience is carefully considered and optimized. He grounds his decisions in research and industry best practices, always delivering designs that are not only visually appealing but genuinely effective for users.  In addition to his design skills, Eric is an exceptional listener, deeply valuing each team member’s perspective and creating an environment where everyone feels heard. He’s never afraid to ask insightful questions to fully understand and reflect the needs of our customers. His rare combination of attentiveness, empathy, and decades of expertise has had an enormous impact on our projects and our team. We have been incredibly fortunate to have such a talented, dedicated UX leader guiding our customer experience and UI/UX needs!

Beyond work

I was born, raised, and have never lived anywhere else but in Southern California. I currently live in San Diego County, Escondido specifically, with my wife and our 10-year-old son. My interest in design and creation extends beyond work. I love what I do for a living but I really value my time away to be a husband, a father, a builder, a handyman and to be outdoors.

Motorcycle Adventures

I enjoy loading up all my gear, meeting up with my friends and heading out on my dual sport bike. It a great way to rediscover a lot of things you have seen in a car through a new lens. It's a refreshing weekend for me to ride, camp, and explore all the amazing different terrain we have outside our doors in southern California.

Camping and Hiking

I have been camping all my life and am fortunate to have a wife and son that share my love of camping. We upgraded from a tent to a trailer a few years ago and have been really enjoying the comfort and ease of extended stays ever since. Our goal is to camp at least once a month, and we have happily met that goal over the last couple years.

Building furniture

When we bought our home 14 years ago I found myself drawn to building things exactly the way I wanted them. I have been building mostly personal use furniture ever since. I do the occasional piece for friends and family when the need arises. I find it to be an overall relaxing and very satisfying hobby. I also consider myself an amateur general contractor and enjoy doing my own home improvement.

Suburban Chicken Keeper

My whole family loves animals and have tossed around the idea of one day having chickens. Research and planning started late last year and in spring of 2024 we visited a local chick event and came home with 9 little chicks covering 7 different breeds. It's been fun and a real learning experience for us so far...but we love it! Bonus I got to design and build a coop and run that would complement our suburban backyard.

Creative Type

You are the Maker

Committed to your craft

Creative Strengths

Focus and dedication, ability to achieve mastery

Untapped Potential

Taking creative risks, finding joy and play in the process

Driven, focused, and dedicated to the creative process, the MAKER has mastered the art of manifesting ideas and visions in three-dimensional form. Society greatly benefits from the work of MAKER types, who develop the systems, structures, tools, and innovations that the rest of us rely on.

One of the hardest workers of all the types, the MAKER is almost always busy solving problems, making headway on personally meaningful goals, and completing projects. There are few things that bring you more satisfaction than applying your brain power to crafting things and making progress in any form. You tend to excel in design, crafts, architecture, and other fields that blend artistry with business and technology.

You’re driven by tangible results, and you know how to deliver. A quiet type, you enjoy collaboration but generally prefer to work alone so you can focus on your own creative process.

You know how to play the long game, and you’re not afraid to do the unglamorous legwork that goes into building something of value over time. Your gifts of focus and dedication can lead to achieving mastery and coming to be seen by others as an authority in your field.
